Comagine Health designates this course for a maximum of 1.0 Continuing Medical Education credits. This course also offers 1 hour towards New Mexico Medical Board Pain Management required hours. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. *Registration required.

Course Description
(1hr) Interactive case discussion of management of real patients with complications of Opioid Use Disorder (OUD)

About the Presenter

Eric Ketcham MD, MBA, FACEP, FASAM, FACHE, FAAEM is board certified in emergency medicine (ABEM) and addiction medicine (ABPM). He is co-founder and past chair of the Pain Management and Addiction Medicine Section of the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP). He works primarily for the Presbyterian Healthcare System (PHS), half-time as an emergency medicine physician, and half-time as an addiction medicine specialist (outpatient clinic and hospital consults – ICU, Med/Surg, L&D, ED, etc.).  He was the co-chair for the development of the ACEP/AAAP X-waiver course. He has been initiating buprenorphine in the ED since 2011.
