Director of Community Outreach

Sally Wait, BSN, started her career as a behavioral health nurse in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  After a brief period working in nursing administration and education, she moved to an executive position with Mercy Health Services to form a subsidiary which provided information technology to 23 acute care hospitals and other related health care businesses.  She worked with the executive teams of client hospitals to incorporate information technology and the use of data into each of their organizational strategies. For 20 years she held executive positions in varying health information technology companies where she was responsible for the implementation and process re-engineering of large-scale systems, and eventually consulting with a focus on process re-engineering for mergers and large-scale technology implementations.  Most recently, after a brief retirement, Ms. Wait worked for the State of New Mexico Medical Assistance Division, in Medicaid policy and reimbursement for behavioral health.  She was awarded the Sallyanne Wait Behavioral Health Service Award for moving the needle forward at the 2018 NM Behavioral Health Workforce Summit.  She now works as a consultant to the state for the monitoring of the 1115 Waiver for SUD and various other behavioral health projects.

NM Bridge Implementation Team:
As Director of Community Outreach Ms. Wait is responsible for workflows and protocols for referrals both to and from the emergency department including navigation activities by Peer Support Workers.  The financial sustainability of referral and resultant outpatient services including the reimbursement potential is included.
